A key focus of the meeting was the School Resource Officer (SRO) program, which aims to foster trusted relationships between students and law enforcement while ensuring a secure learning environment.

The district has reaffirmed its commitment to safety by maintaining armed school safety officers in every school. This initiative aligns with best practices advocated by safety organizations and is seen as crucial for immediate response capabilities and positive interactions with students.
