Ashland Mayor details $2.25M grants for US 250 pathway and downtown revitalization projects

Under the bright lights of Ashland's city hall, city officials gathered to unveil an ambitious vision for the future during the 2025 State of the City Address. The PumpHouse District, a long-discussed area of potential development, remains a focal point of progress. Mayor Evans confirmed ongoing communications with developers, with plans for a Hilton Home 2 Suites hotel and approximately 150 to 200 market-rate apartments in the pipeline. The demolition of outdated structures is paving the way for these new developments, which are expected to revitalize the area.

In the industrial sector, the announcement of an Amazon distribution center marks a significant milestone for Ashland. The 84,000 square foot facility is projected to create around 100 jobs, with competitive wages, further bolstering the local economy. Nearby, preparations are underway for a new manufacturing and warehouse facility, promising additional employment opportunities.
