Brookside Golf Course, in particular, achieved its best financial performance to date, generating nearly $1 million in revenue and over $150,000 in profit, a significant turnaround from previous years of deficit.
Further improvements were made at Congrove Park, where a new sidewalk and fence were installed near the ball field. The field was renamed Roseboro Field in honor of John Roseborough, a local baseball legend, with a bronze plaque commemorating his legacy, thanks to a donation from Ralph and Betty Jo Tomasi.
The Myers Bandshell also celebrated its 75th anniversary, marking a record-setting year in attendance and fundraising for future events.
Looking ahead, the council expressed enthusiasm for upcoming projects in 2025, particularly those focused on economic development, which are seen as vital for the community's future prosperity. The meeting concluded with a sense of optimism about the city's growth and the positive impact of these initiatives on residents' quality of life.
