He also provided updates on the Monroe Meadows and Reserve of Honey Creek developments, indicating that plans for new homes are nearing approval, with building permits being processed.

Another point of discussion was the planned rebuilding of a veteran sign on Main Street, which was damaged in an accident involving a drunk driver. Mr. Gitko stated that the city is seeking estimates for repairs and hopes to obtain restitution from the responsible party.

Council members engaged with Mr. Gitko, with one member questioning the winter concrete work schedule. Mr. Gitko clarified that while asphalt work is not conducted in winter, concrete can be poured if temperatures remain near or above freezing, utilizing blankets to aid in curing.
