Christina Pacoce Frank appointed vice principal at Hopeville Elementary School

The Waterbury Board of Education made significant strides during its March 20, 2025, meeting, highlighted by the appointment of Christina Pacoce Frank as the new vice principal of Hopeville Elementary School. This decision, which was unanimously approved, comes after Pacoce Frank's successful tenure as interim vice principal since August 2024, where she has fostered a positive school culture and demonstrated strong leadership.

Pacoce Frank brings over 15 years of experience within the Waterbury School District, having previously been recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2020. Her extensive involvement in various school committees and her commitment to student-centered education were key factors in her selection. During her address to the board, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity and emphasized her dedication to supporting both students and teachers, as well as strengthening family partnerships to enhance student success.

In addition to this pivotal appointment, the meeting also celebrated achievements at Wilby High School, where Anne Chinchola was named Paraprofessional of the Year. The school also recently placed third in a robotics competition and hosted a successful blood drive, attracting the highest number of donors in four years.
