LaSalle County's upcoming festival is set to delight attendees with a diverse lineup of entertainment and food, all funded through community donations. The event organizers have confirmed that there will be no admission fee, relying instead on contributions from visitors to support the festival's activities and bring back popular entertainers.
Last year’s festival saw a successful turnout, with food sales exceeding expectations. Organizers reported selling five cases of turkey legs, a surprising hit among festival-goers, leading to a decision to increase the food supply to six cases this year. The festival aims to enhance the culinary experience by offering a variety of food options, ensuring that attendees have plenty to enjoy.
This year’s entertainment lineup includes the return of the Harp Twins, who have garnered a significant following. Additionally, performers such as Molly Rachel, known for her hooping skills, and a new trapeze artist named Beth, will add to the festival's vibrant atmosphere. Other acts include a musician from Peoria who plays a string instrument and a puppeteer with large hand puppets, promising a unique experience for families.
The festival will also feature era-appropriate crafters, encouraging participants to dress in historical attire, which adds to the immersive experience for attendees. With a focus on community engagement and entertainment, the festival is poised to be a highlight for LaSalle County this year, fostering local culture and bringing residents together.
