Osseo School Board reviews attendance boundaries and approves $27K in gifts

Kindergarten orientation events are set to continue throughout March, April, and May at all Osseo Public Schools elementary sites, welcoming students who will start school in the fall of 2025. Parents can find more information and orientation dates on the district's website.

During the March 18th School Board meeting, community feedback played a crucial role in refining proposed attendance boundary scenarios. Scenarios 1 and 2 have been adjusted based on input received from residents. The board encourages further community engagement, inviting feedback at an informational meeting scheduled for March 19 at Osseo Middle School. The school board is expected to finalize attendance boundary changes in May, which will take effect in the fall of 2026.

In other discussions, school board members reported on various initiatives, including updates from the LGBTQ Advisory Committee and the DPAC committee, which is finalizing recommendations for the board. Director Tate highlighted a new branding initiative for the district, emphasizing diversity and collaboration, with significant input from students.

The meeting concluded with the approval of a consent agenda, including financial reports and a total of $27,383.88 in gifts to the district, showcasing community support. The board expressed gratitude for the contributions received, reinforcing the importance of community involvement in supporting local education.
