Breeze Airways launches successful nonstop flights from Erie to Orlando and Tampa

In a recent meeting of the MPO Coordinating Committee, officials highlighted the success of Breeze Airways' new nonstop flights connecting Erie to Florida. Since launching service in November to Orlando and expanding to Tampa in January, these flights have garnered enthusiastic support from the community.

The latest reports indicate that the Breeze flight to Orlando recently operated at an impressive 99% capacity, with 136 out of 137 seats filled. Similarly, the Tampa flight achieved a 96% occupancy rate. This strong demand reflects the community's eagerness for convenient travel options to popular destinations.

While the Tampa service is seasonal and will conclude in April, the Orlando route will continue year-round. Local officials expressed optimism about the potential return of the Tampa flights next winter, along with the possibility of adding another Florida destination to the schedule.
