Danvers celebrates MLK Day with Move Like King theme and student art exhibit

The Danvers Human Rights and Inclusion Committee is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, set for January 20, 2024, from 4 to 6 PM at the Danvers High School Atrium. This marks the 26th year the community will honor Dr. King's legacy, with this year's theme, "Move Like King," encouraging residents to reflect on how they can embody his principles in their daily lives.

The event will feature a student art exhibit showcasing the creative talents of Danvers Public School students, alongside a selection of hors d'oeuvres prepared by the school cafeteria. Attendees can expect an engaging atmosphere with interactive activities for both children and adults, fostering community connections. The formal program will commence at approximately 4:45 PM, including musical performances and the presentation of the Seed of Hope award, recognizing individuals who exemplify Dr. King's values in the community.
