Clinton City Council sets public hearing for Hobo Renewable Diesel development agreement

Clinton City Council has taken significant steps towards economic development and community support during its recent meeting on March 11, 2025. A key highlight was the approval of a resolution to set a public hearing for a purchase, sale, and development agreement with Hobo Renewable Diesel, LLC. This agreement, years in the making, is expected to bring substantial investment and job creation to the area, with plans for the company to produce 20 million gallons of biodiesel annually, contributing to cleaner energy solutions.

Council members praised the persistence of city officials in advancing this project, which includes a commitment from Hobo to invest over $4 million in public infrastructure improvements.
