Garden Grove Council plans community cleanup and District 2 walk and talk event

During the recent Garden Grove City Council meeting held on March 11, 2025, Councilor Bynum addressed a significant issue regarding the broadcasting of council meetings. In addition to the broadcasting concerns, Bynum announced an upcoming "walk and talk" event scheduled for March 22 in District 2. This initiative aims to foster community engagement by allowing residents to meet with council members, including Bynum and Councilman Philip Nguyen, as well as city staff. The event will take place at St. Olaf Church, starting at 8 AM, providing an opportunity for residents to voice their concerns and share ideas about their neighborhood.

City Manager also highlighted two community events: a cleanup scheduled for March 15 at Sky Lark Elementary School and an open house hosted by the Orange County Fire Authority in Irvine. These events reflect the city’s commitment to community involvement and environmental stewardship.

Furthermore, the City Attorney reported no actionable outcomes from a recent closed session, while a council member requested a feasibility study regarding a resident's concern about a fence. This request underscores the council's responsiveness to community issues and the importance of addressing resident inquiries.
