Midwest City-Del City Schools celebrated a series of impressive achievements during their recent meeting, highlighting the success of local teams and students in various state competitions.

Four teams from the district have advanced to the state basketball tournament, with both Del City teams making a notable impact. The Carl Albert girls' basketball team and the Del City boys' team are among those competing at the state level, showcasing the talent and dedication of student-athletes in the community.

In addition to basketball, Del City High School's Serenity High made headlines by winning the Class 5A state wrestling championship in the 155-pound category. The excitement was palpable as the student celebrated her victory, marking a significant achievement for the school.

Wrestling accolades continued with LaMario Ramsey from Parkview, who earned the title of state champion from the Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association, further emphasizing the district's strong wrestling program.
