The Pine Valley Committee in Richland County is gearing up for a series of community-focused events aimed at fostering connections and celebrating local traditions. One of the highlights is a free bowling event scheduled for November, welcoming families and individuals to enjoy a night of fun together. This initiative reflects the committee's commitment to building community ties and providing recreational opportunities for residents.
In addition to the bowling event, the committee is also preparing for its annual Halloween celebration, set to take place this Saturday. Flyers have been distributed to local schools, including Hillsborough, Kickapoo, Ithaca, Westin, Richland Center, and Muscoda, ensuring that families are informed and encouraged to participate. This outreach aims to engage local children and families in festive activities, reinforcing community spirit.
On the training front, the committee has made significant strides in staff development. Recently, eight staff members completed CBRF (Community-Based Residential Facility) safety training, while thirteen participated in CPR training. These educational efforts are crucial for maintaining high standards of care and safety within the community.
The meeting also touched on recent retirements within the staff, including a long-serving personal care worker and two nurses. To honor their contributions, a potluck celebration was held, allowing residents and staff to come together in appreciation of their service.
As the Pine Valley Committee continues to plan events and training, these efforts highlight a dedication to enhancing community engagement and ensuring the well-being of both residents and staff in Richland County.
