Residents warn of flooding risks from proposed development near Santa Pogue Creek

The resident reported that during severe weather, water from the creek backs up, affecting multiple homes in the area, including their own and those of neighbors. They noted that at least three times in recent years, their basement has experienced several inches of flooding, raising alarms about the potential for increased flooding if development proceeds on the adjacent land.

The discussion underscored the community's apprehension about how new building projects could exacerbate existing drainage issues, potentially leading to more frequent and severe flooding in the residential area. The Planning Board is expected to consider these concerns as they evaluate the proposed development plans.
