CFISD announces spring break and upcoming fun run event for scholarships

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is gearing up for a vibrant spring break, reminding students and staff that classes will be suspended from March 10 to March 14. The district encourages everyone to enjoy a restful break, while also providing contact information for the CFISD Police Department for any emergencies during this time.

In addition to the upcoming break, the district is excited about the 11th Annual Superintendent's Fun Run, scheduled for Saturday, March 8, at the Berry Center. This community event, underwritten by Memorial Hermann Cyprus, aims to raise funds for student scholarships through the Cy Fair Education Foundation. Interested participants are reminded that the registration deadline is approaching on March 7, with more details available at cfisd.net/funrun.

The meeting also highlighted the district's commitment to showcasing its academic programs, with a focus this month on the high school automotive technology classes. Furthermore, the communications department received accolades for their efforts, bringing home multiple awards from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) conference, including gold, silver, and bronze stars.

Lastly, Teresa Hall was recognized by the American Association of University Women’s North Harris County chapter as the education honoree for the year, celebrating her contributions to the field.
