Residents urge Farmington Hills council to reject high-density housing proposal

The Farmington Hills City Council convened on March 3, 2025, to address several pressing community concerns, primarily focusing on a proposed residential development and its implications for local neighborhoods.

The meeting began with public comments, where residents expressed their frustrations regarding the proposed development's density and its compatibility with the surrounding area. One resident, Mr. Nagota, highlighted a long-standing issue with a promised brick wall that had yet to be constructed, emphasizing the ongoing neglect of local infrastructure, including a deteriorating chain-link fence.

Amy Broglen Petersen followed, presenting a detailed critique of the revised development proposal.
