The Dickson County Board of Education held a regular session on February 28, 2025, focusing on recognizing academic achievements and athletic successes within the district. The meeting commenced with a presentation led by Dr. Misty Marvin and other board members, who acknowledged schools that excelled in accountability rankings.

The first recognition was for Stuart Burns Elementary School, which achieved a level 5 designation as a reward school. The leadership team, including assistant principals and instructional coaches, was commended for their contributions to the school's success. Following this, Centennial Elementary School was also celebrated for its level 5 status and reward school designation.

Charlotte Elementary School and White Bluff Elementary School were next, both recognized for their level 5 achievements. Dixon Elementary School received similar accolades, with its principal and instructional coach present to accept the honor. Burns Middle School was acknowledged for its level 5 ranking as well, with the principal and assistant principal in attendance.

The meeting continued with Oakmont Elementary School, which improved to a level B, and Dixon Middle School, recognized for its progress. Discovery School and William James Middle School were also celebrated for achieving a B on the state report card.

In addition to academic achievements, the board recognized the Red Hawk bowling teams for their outstanding performances. The boys' team was celebrated as District 12 champions and state champions, while the girls' team was honored as District 12 champions and state runner-ups.
