Kareem Khan, Director of the Montgomery Floyd Regional Library, elaborated on the program, which launched in 2023. The Sensory Museum provides a calming environment with dimmed lights and soothing music, featuring various sensory stations that include tactile experiences and visual stimuli. The program has received positive feedback, particularly from neurodivergent individuals, and has been expanded to include sensory kits available for checkout at library branches.

Khan acknowledged the efforts of the library staff and the community in developing the program, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in library services. The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue building on the success of the Sensory Museum and related initiatives, reinforcing Montgomery County's dedication to serving all community members effectively.
