School Board approves $14.5M renovations and paving at Newton High School

Additionally, the board awarded a contract for paving improvements at Newton High School to Allied Paving Contractors, valued at $632,757.50. This project will utilize full depth reclamation techniques to ensure a durable pavement surface, addressing concerns about underlying soft spots. Superintendent assurances included rigorous geotechnical oversight to guarantee the integrity of the work, a response to past issues with pavement durability.
