The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) has achieved a significant milestone in its internal audit processes, receiving the highest possible rating in an external quality assessment. This assessment, mandated by the Institute of Internal Auditors, is conducted every five years and aims to evaluate the effectiveness of internal audits in providing assurance and advisory services to stakeholders.

The assessment was carried out by a qualified independent assessor, who confirmed that NTTA not only met all 52 standards of conformity but also excelled in 17 successful practices. This accomplishment highlights the organization's commitment to continuous improvement and robust internal controls. Lynn Truong and her internal audit team were recognized for their hard work in achieving these results, underscoring the importance of their role in enhancing NTTA's operational processes.

In addition to this key achievement, the board meeting also covered routine agenda items, including the review of February committee reports and the approval of minutes from previous meetings. However, the standout moment was undoubtedly the commendation of the internal audit team, which reflects NTTA's dedication to maintaining high standards of accountability and transparency.
