Circle Earth Excavation to begin site work project in Chelsea this March

The Chelsea City Traffic and Parking Commission convened on February 4, 2025, to discuss various topics related to traffic management and parking in the city. One significant agenda item involved a presentation by Cody Santo, representing Circle Earth Excavation, regarding an upcoming site work project at 150 Williams Street.

Santo informed the commission that the project is set to commence in March and is expected to last between six to eight months. Although the exact schedule is still being finalized, Santo emphasized the need for parking spaces for the construction team during the project. Initially, the team will consist of four to five members, increasing to six to eight as the project progresses to the phases involving sidewalk and foundation work.

Santo highlighted the importance of securing two to three parking spaces to accommodate the workers. He noted that the area directly in front of the building lacks parking, but there are available spaces further down the street. The commission acknowledged the request and discussed potential solutions to address the parking needs during the construction period.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to explore parking options that would support the project while minimizing disruption to local traffic. Further discussions on this matter are expected in future meetings as the project timeline becomes clearer.
