Cheryl Marthaljani, the director of human resources, presented the awards, beginning with the Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2024, which was awarded to Mike Green, the service desk manager in the information technology department. Green, who joined the city as a support technician in December 2023, quickly earned recognition for his exceptional customer service and technical skills, particularly in supporting public safety departments. In addition to the quarterly recognition, Kristen Tans was honored as the Employee of the Year for 2024. Tans, an environmental health specialist, was selected for her exemplary service during a record year in vector control and her proactive approach to addressing environmental concerns in the community.
