Northglenn's new senior bus is set to enhance transportation options for older residents, addressing a growing community need. During the February 2025 Mayor's Monthly Minute, it was announced that the bus, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), will provide vital transportation for seniors to various activities and events.

The initiative arose from requests made by seniors to the city council, highlighting the importance of accessible transportation in fostering community engagement. The bus is not only designated for senior activities but will also support youth programs and other city events, promoting inclusivity across age groups.

Kate Fisher, a recreation coordinator at the senior center, shared exciting upcoming activities, including summer hikes, museum visits, and even archery lessons. These events aim to enrich the lives of seniors and encourage participation in community life.
