During the recent meeting, discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring that AEDs are not only present but also operational and easily accessible in emergencies.

Committee member Kaja emphasized the need for an inventory check of the AEDs across the schools and proposed collaborating with local authorities to integrate these devices into the town's dispatch system. This would ensure that emergency responders are immediately alerted when an AED is deployed, potentially saving lives in critical situations. "It's a safety situation in our building," Kaja stated, underscoring the urgency of the matter.

In addition to safety measures, the committee addressed concerns regarding potential immigration enforcement actions in schools. A member raised the issue of how to handle situations if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were to enter school premises.
