Applications for this funding will be accepted until February 10, with awards expected to be announced in April.

Additionally, the concessionary debt program was discussed, which provides below-market rate loans for rental housing. This year, the program has directed all funding to fill gaps in previously awarded low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) projects, ensuring that these essential developments can move forward.

The meeting also introduced an innovative equity program, the first of its kind in the nation, which aims to support affordable housing projects with significant economic development impacts. This program includes a tenant equity vehicle designed to help tenants build savings over time, eventually enabling them to purchase homes.
