Christian Overland from the Wisconsin Historical Society highlighted the significance of the Bible, which was originally used in 1836 by John S. Horner to administer oaths to Wisconsin's first governor, Henry Dodge, and the state’s inaugural Supreme Court judges.

As the ceremony unfolded, Justice Rebecca Bradley of the Wisconsin Supreme Court administered the oath of office to the newly elected representatives. In her remarks, she congratulated the members for their commitment to public service, acknowledging the sacrifices made during their campaigns.
