In June alone, the commission processed 413 claims, resulting in over $847,000 in new benefits, surpassing the entire fiscal year's budget. Zimmerman emphasized the importance of ensuring that applications reach the VA, recounting a case where a veteran received over $324,000 in back pay after discovering an unprocessed application from 2010.

In a separate report, County Clerk Mister Pollard highlighted the office's financial contributions to the general fund, noting that over a million dollars had been returned in revenue. He attributed this success to a surge in passport applications, with the office breaking monthly records five times in the first seven months of the year. Pollard encouraged constituents to return any misdirected voter registration mail to help maintain accurate records, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in the electoral process.
