In a recent government meeting, department leaders presented findings from a comprehensive data collection effort aimed at understanding the future needs of the town of Tenmouth. Utilizing surveys, interviews, and workshops, alongside data modeling from Gensler, the team projected significant population and staffing growth over the next decade.
Key insights revealed that Tenmouth is expected to experience a staggering 119% increase in population, translating to an additional 4,780 households and approximately 13,320 new residents. This growth will necessitate enhanced community services, including cultural events, access to parks, trails, and open spaces, as well as opportunities for community engagement.
To support this expanding population, department leaders anticipate the need for 75 new full-time employees, particularly in areas related to park management and administrative functions. Gensler's research indicates that a balanced ratio of one full-time employee for every 100 residents is ideal for municipal needs. With the projected growth, Tenmouth would maintain a favorable ratio of one employee for every 93 residents.
Additionally, the analysis highlighted that Tenmouth's facilities currently boast a higher usable square footage compared to other government systems, suggesting a strong foundation for accommodating future growth. The findings underscore the importance of strategic planning to ensure that the town can effectively meet the demands of its burgeoning population.
