The Westmont community is mourning the loss of Trustee Frank Brady, who passed away recently. Brady, a dedicated public servant, began his journey with the village in 2004 as a member of the Communication Commission and later became the president of the Westmont Chamber of Commerce in 2008. He served on the Economic Development Committee from 2015 to 2020 and was a trustee since October 2020, where he held significant roles including chair of the Community Development Committee and vice chair of the Administration and Finance Committee.

Brady was known for his unwavering commitment to the community and his country, actively participating in numerous local events such as the Westmont Red, White and Barbecue and A Taste of Westmont. His contributions were recognized during a recent government meeting, where fellow trustees shared heartfelt memories and condolences for his family, including his wife Carol and daughter Carolyn.

Trustee Steve expressed his personal loss, recalling how Brady would often remind him to display the American flag, even taking it upon himself to install a flagpole at Steve's home. Other trustees echoed similar sentiments, highlighting Brady's mentorship and kindness, as well as his encouragement for local businesses to proudly display flags.

The community is invited to pay their respects at Brady's wake, scheduled for tomorrow from 4 to 8 PM at the chapel. As the village reflects on Brady's legacy, there is a collective acknowledgment that his spirit and dedication will be deeply missed.
