In a recent government meeting, plans for a new senior living facility were unveiled, highlighting a comprehensive development project on a 5.53-acre site. The proposed facility will feature 118 units, including 78 independent living units, 20 assisted living units, and 20 memory care units, designed to accommodate a total of approximately 152 beds.
The building will rise to a maximum of four stories, with architectural adjustments made to reduce the height at the ends to three stories. The total building area is projected at 183,000 square feet, which includes 39,000 square feet dedicated to indoor parking. The design incorporates a \"town square\" common area that will host various amenities, such as a bistro, chapel, theater room, beauty salon, spa, art studio, fitness center, and dining facilities, alongside outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy.
The facility's design emphasizes accessibility and safety, with provisions for emergency vehicle access around the building and a proposed crosswalk equipped with safety lights to enhance pedestrian safety near the adjacent Lutheran High School. The project also includes a stormwater management plan and walking paths for residents.
From a construction perspective, the exterior will feature a combination of stone and various siding materials, aiming for a warm color palette that aligns with the surrounding environment. The development team has conducted environmental studies, confirming no further investigation is needed, and has completed geotechnical borings to ensure the site is suitable for construction.
The meeting concluded with a presentation of architectural renderings and a fly-through video, providing a visual overview of the facility's layout and design, which aims to create a welcoming and functional environment for its future residents.
