With a background of 30 years in New York City public schools, he shared his excitement about transitioning to this new role and emphasized his commitment to enhancing the educational experience for students, particularly through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

The assistant principal acknowledged some initial challenges, including IT issues at various schools, but praised the dedication of teachers and staff. He highlighted the importance of CTE in providing students with valuable skills that enhance the relevance of their high school diplomas.

Following his remarks, Danielle Malfera, the coordinator of college and career counseling, introduced Michael Brown, the president and CEO of Travel and Leisure Company. Brown announced a new partnership with the School District of Osceola County, launching the Travel Nature Scholarship program aimed at supporting students from Reedy Creek Elementary and Poinciana High School in pursuing higher education. This initiative is inspired by successful philanthropic efforts in other communities and aims to remove financial barriers for local students.

Brown expressed appreciation for the collaboration with district leaders and acknowledged the contributions of various stakeholders, including Congressman Darren Soto, in championing educational opportunities for underserved communities. The meeting underscored a collective commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting student success in Osceola County.
