During his presentation, Gaffney highlighted the significant impact of New Horizon, which serves nearly 19,000 patients with a workforce of 236 employees and an annual budget of approximately $30 million. The health center offers a range of services, including family and internal medicine, dental care, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, as well as specialized programs for the homeless.
In a notable announcement, Gaffney revealed that New Horizon has been recognized as a top-tier health center by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), placing it among the best of 1,393 health centers nationwide. This accolade underscores the center's commitment to providing quality care and innovative solutions to the community.
