In a push for transparency, the county has launched a comprehensive dashboard available at flaglercounty.gov, featuring 19 different portals that provide information on various operations, including a citizens advisory board, aircraft noise abatement, and capital projects. The county's first public hearing for the budget is scheduled for September 4 at 5:01 PM, followed by a workshop addressing the Bulow issue at 6 PM. Another workshop on TDC priorities and insurance will take place on September 16 at 1 PM, with a regular meeting later that day at 5 PM. Discussions are also underway to schedule a separate workshop focused on beach management and penny allocations.

During the meeting, Fire Chief Mike Tucker recognized paramedic firefighter Andrew Shook for his exceptional service, presenting him with the Emergency Medical Services Commendation Medal from the Sons of the American Revolution. Shook was honored for his heroic actions in a rescue operation involving individuals caught in a rip current.
