Construction is underway on the Three Oaks Parkway Extension, a phased project initiated by Lee County Department of Transportation (DOT) aimed at improving traffic flow in the area. The extension will connect to Daniels Parkway and I-75, with the first phase reaching the border of the project and the second phase extending to the Appaloosa intersection.

Due to operational constraints at the Daniels Parkway intersection, access to the project will be limited to an entrance-only configuration. This means that while residents of the new multifamily community will be able to enter from Daniels Parkway, no traffic will be allowed to exit onto this road. Instead, all outgoing traffic will be directed south towards the new Three Oaks Parkway corridor.

The project is part of a broader initiative that includes the widening of Daniels Parkway and improvements to the I-75 interchange, which is also moving forward with funding secured for construction to begin next year. A recent public information meeting was held to discuss these developments.

During the meeting, concerns were raised regarding the timing of the project in relation to the completion of the Three Oaks Parkway and the widening of Daniels Parkway. Developers assured that no units would be occupied until at least the southern section of the Three Oaks Parkway is completed, allowing residents to access the necessary routes. Contingency plans are in place to provide temporary access to Fiddlesticks Parkway if needed during construction.

The ongoing improvements are expected to significantly enhance traffic conditions in the area, with the Three Oaks Parkway Extension being a critical component of this effort.
