During a recent government meeting, officials expressed their enthusiasm for a new initiative aimed at enhancing students' educational experiences in culinary arts. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the D11 Delish food truck, a project that originated from student feedback at Doherty High School.

Two and a half years ago, educators Andrea Aragon and her colleagues engaged students in discussions about improving their Career and Technical Education (CTE) experience. The students expressed a desire for a food truck they could operate, prompting the educators to take action. Despite the challenges posed by bureaucratic processes in public education, the food truck has now been outfitted and is ready for use.

The initiative has been met with excitement from both students and faculty, who believe it will provide valuable hands-on experience in the culinary field. The food truck is seen as a significant step towards fostering student engagement and practical learning opportunities within the community.
