Silver Springs State Park was a focal point of the conversation, with concerns raised about the management plan and its adherence to capacity studies. The park, popular among kayakers, is experiencing significant overcrowding, prompting discussions on necessary enhancements. A new park manager has been appointed, and initial meetings have taken place to address these challenges, particularly in the northwest corner of the park.

Liberty Park was also addressed, with officials noting that the playground requires replacement due to wear and tear. Currently serving a population that has surged from 25,000 to approximately 55,000, the park is operating well beyond its intended capacity, indicating an urgent need for upgrades.

Additionally, the Bellevue Sports Complex's competitiveness in the sports tourism market was emphasized. A comparison was made to a project in Leesburg, where the city is investing $7.5 million in Susan Street Park to enhance its facilities, including new sports fields and lighting. This investment includes $3 million from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, $2 million from tourism development, and $760,000 from legislative priorities, alongside $22 million from the general fund.
