Hudspeth acknowledged the challenges faced by the appraisal district and reiterated his commitment to improving the system, stating, \"If we need to fix something, we fix it.\"

Hudspeth, who has dedicated over 50 years to public service, highlighted the importance of customer service and the need for a welcoming environment in the appraisal office. He expressed concern over reports that some residents feel intimidated when visiting the office, asserting that the appraisal district must work to change this perception.

The meeting also touched on the board of directors overseeing the appraisal district, which is composed of nine members, including five appointed by local entities and three elected representatives. Hudspeth confirmed that the board is currently working on a revision of the reappraisal plan, which is expected to be ready for distribution soon.

In response to a resolution expressing a lack of confidence in board member Toby Ford, who resigned in September, Hudspeth clarified that the remaining board members continue to serve effectively. He emphasized that any changes to leadership would ultimately be determined by the board.
