Clatsop County appears to be leaning towards establishing time, place, and manner restrictions rather than a full moratorium, reflecting concerns about the potential growth of psilocybin facilities. Notably, there was an inquiry two years ago about opening a facility in Warrenton, but the temporary moratorium halted any further pursuit.

The council emphasized that the current moratorium on psilocybin services is not permanent and can be revisited in the future if deemed beneficial for the community. This flexibility allows the council to adapt to changing circumstances and community needs regarding psilocybin services.
