The Ramona Bowl is set to host its inaugural two-day music festival on October 5 and 6, featuring a lineup focused on old school R&B and jazz. Attendees can look forward to a full bar, food vendors, and the opportunity to purchase tickets directly from the Ramona Bowl's website at a lower price than through other ticketing services.
In addition to the festival announcement, city officials, including the mayor, recently toured the new Hemet police substation, which is scheduled to open on September 3. Located in a shopping center near Wendy's and Best Western on the west end of town, the substation aims to enhance police presence in the area, with plans for volunteer officers to be on-site.
Furthermore, the city is seeking names of veterans to be etched on the Veterans Memorial in time for Veterans Day. Hemet residents, or their families, can nominate veterans, including those who are missing in action or have died due to service-related illnesses, in accordance with the recently enacted PACT Act. This initiative aims to honor the contributions of local veterans and ensure their legacies are remembered.
