The amendment, initiated by Griffin Brothers Investment LLC, seeks to rezone approximately 7.17 acres at 851 31st Street from residential (R2) to manufacturing-light (ML) to facilitate the construction of an office warehouse.

Planning Commission members had previously voted 6-3 in favor of the rezoning, citing the property’s current vacancy and the potential for economic development.
