During a recent government meeting, a resident of Georgetown shared a heartfelt account of a life-saving experience involving local emergency services, highlighting the exceptional work of police, fire, and EMS personnel. The individual recounted a harrowing incident on Memorial Day weekend when he suffered a massive heart attack in his driveway.

Thanks to the quick actions of his wife, who called 911, and the calm guidance of operator Tiffany Jones, emergency teams were dispatched promptly. The first responders from Station 4, led by Captain Scott Walthall, along with Paramedic George Carrasco and Firefighter Wes Crossland, arrived swiftly, followed closely by the team from Station 5, which included Paramedics John Marquez, Scott Faught, and Christian Glotner.

The resident praised the teams for their professionalism and teamwork, likening their efficiency to that of a Formula 1 pit crew. He emphasized the critical nature of their response, noting that every second counted during the emergency. Paramedic Marquez provided spiritual support by reciting the Lord's Prayer with him, which he found comforting during the ordeal.
