During the meeting, the council recognized September 20, 2024, as POW/MIA Recognition Day, honoring military personnel who are prisoners of war or missing in action. In addition, the council proclaimed the week of September 17-23, 2024, as Constitution Week, marking the 237th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution's framing.
