During a recent school board meeting, York High School celebrated the achievements of its students at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference held in Seattle, Washington. Lori Christ, an advisor in the Family and Consumer Sciences department, expressed gratitude to the school board and administration for their support of career and technical education.
The highlight of the recognition was the commendation of two students, Madeline Valesky and Madison Kleinberg, who represented York High School among over 8,000 competitors nationwide. Valesky earned a silver medal in the fashion construction star event, while Kleinberg excelled in the Star Food Innovation competition. Christ praised their dedication and technical skills, emphasizing the importance of their projects in showcasing their knowledge in family consumer sciences.
