In a recent government meeting, board members discussed two significant requests for all alcoholic beverages restaurant licenses in the area.
The first proposal came from Fro Ink, doing business as Nouveau, seeking approval for a license at 406 Hancock Street. The establishment is planned as a street-level restaurant spanning 2,200 square feet, featuring a dining area, kitchen, and restrooms, along with an additional 1,100 square feet of basement space for office storage and cooler facilities. The proposed operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with alcohol service starting at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. The motion to approve the request was unanimously supported by the board.
The second request was presented by Primetime LLC, operating as Drifters Kitchen and Bar, which aims to transfer an existing all-alcohol beverage restaurant license from Imeemine LLC, currently known as Idle Hour, located at 1464 Hancock Street. This venue is also a street-level restaurant, covering approximately 2,241 square feet, and includes both bar and table dining areas, along with a basement for storage. The proposed manager for this establishment is William Falaro, and the application includes a pledge of the license to Cape Cod Five Cent Savings Bank. The hours of operation proposed are from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., with alcohol service beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays.
Attorney Christopher Harrington, representing Primetime LLC, confirmed that a complete application has been submitted for consideration, and all legal notices have been properly published prior to the hearing. The board is expected to pass these requests on to the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) for further review.
