During a recent city council meeting in West Bend, several local businesses were recognized for their contributions to the community. The event highlighted the growing number of businesses in the area, with a record number of nominations for the annual business awards. Among the winners were Revived Salon Studios, represented by Rhiannon Klatz and Debbie Hall, and Do Your Hair Justice from the Barton district. The former downtown Dental office is set to be transformed into the 309 Arts Studio, a project that has garnered excitement from the local community.
The meeting also featured a special ceremony to welcome Grant Domros as the newest firefighter EMT for the city. Deputy Chief Beissel introduced Domros, who recently completed his paramedic training and served in the United States Air Force, specializing in fire protection. Domros took the oath of office in front of council members and attendees, marking the beginning of his service to West Bend.
Mayor and council members expressed gratitude for the efforts of local businesses and the new firefighter, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and beautification initiatives, such as the Roots and Branches planters around town. The meeting concluded with congratulations to all award recipients and a warm welcome to Domros, reinforcing the city's commitment to fostering a vibrant community.
