In a recent government meeting, officials discussed the timeline and infrastructure improvements related to a new subdivision development projected to unfold over the next decade. The first phase of construction is expected to take two to three years, with the entire project anticipated to span ten to twelve years.
A significant concern raised during the meeting was the current road conditions in the area. To address these issues, the county has announced a $92 million investment in road improvements. Key enhancements include the widening of Yonder Road to five lanes from Highway 51 to the north, the installation of traffic lights at critical intersections, and the construction of an overpass over Bozeman Road. Additionally, Weisenberger Road is set to be upgraded to four lanes within the next two to three years.
Officials expressed optimism that these infrastructure upgrades will be completed in tandem with the development, alleviating traffic concerns as new homes are built. The need for housing in the area was emphasized, highlighting a current shortage that the development aims to address.
