During a recent government meeting, Coach Jason Giancola from South Reach High School highlighted the impressive achievements of the school's esports teams. Last year, 9 out of 10 teams qualified for the playoffs, with two teams—League of Legends and Super Smash Brothers—advancing to the state level.

The League of Legends team faced significant challenges, entering the state competition in third position. However, through dedicated practice and teamwork, they managed to secure a remarkable second place overall at the state tournament. This success underscores the growing prominence of esports in educational institutions and the commitment of students and coaches alike to excel in this competitive arena.
