In a recent government meeting, President Greenberg announced an innovative partnership with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and Khan Academy to pilot a new AI tutoring assistant named Conmigo. This initiative aims to enhance educational support for students and teachers by providing a unique AI-driven learning experience.

Conmigo is designed to function differently from existing AI tools like ChatGPT. Rather than providing direct answers, it guides students in discovering solutions independently, akin to having a personal tutor. The program has secured over 2,400 licenses from ADE, with many school districts expressing interest in participation.

The rollout of this pilot program will require teachers to undergo training to effectively integrate the AI assistant into their classrooms. The training will ensure that educators are equipped to facilitate student interactions with the technology, which is expected to begin shortly after receiving approval from the meeting.
