Medina highlighted that the clinic served approximately 33,000 residents in 2023, with plans to expand services to additional schools and communities. He noted that the proposed clinic would cater to around 3,400 low-income residents in the Vado and Mesquite areas, many of whom currently lack access to healthcare facilities.

Community support for the clinic was evident, with local resident America Terrazas sharing her personal experiences and the tragic loss of her son due to mental health issues. Terrazas presented a petition with over 50 signatures from community members advocating for the clinic, underscoring the urgent need for mental health services in the area.

The meeting also addressed logistical concerns regarding the clinic's location, including traffic management and compliance with safety regulations. Medina assured the commission that La Clinica de Familia would adhere to all necessary guidelines to ensure the safety and welfare of the public.
