The recent government meeting highlighted a series of community events aimed at engaging families and students in the Salemwood area. The annual Halloween celebration is set for Sunday, October 27th, at the Salem Woods School gym from noon to 3 PM, featuring entertainers, a costume contest, games, food, and raffles, encouraging families to participate in the festive season.
In addition to Halloween festivities, several announcements were made regarding upcoming school events. Salemwood will observe a school closure on Monday, and a Title 1 family event is scheduled for Thursday, October 17th, at 6 PM. Furthermore, a K-4 Fall Feast will take place on October 25th from 6 to 7:30 PM.
The Malden Early Learning Center (ELC) is also hosting a Fall Festival on Friday, October 18th, from 5 to 7 PM, inviting families and staff to RSVP by October 16th. The Malden ELC PTO is actively seeking new members, with sign-ups available at the festival.
Malden High School celebrated a successful homecoming event, with over 400 students attending the dance. The school will participate in a \"Get Ahead Day\" on October 16th, where freshmen will engage in the Freshman Olympics, while sophomores and juniors will take the PSAT, and seniors will take the SAT.
Linden School is currently running an online fundraiser, the Tiger Trot, with a parade and party scheduled for tomorrow evening. A book fair will follow from October 28th to November 1st, and a craft fair is planned for November 9th.
Forestdale School is conducting a pie and cookie dough fundraiser, with orders due by October 18th, and will host a Halloween gathering on October 27th at 3 PM, featuring crafts, candy, and a costume contest. Additionally, an event called Haunted Woods in Pine Banks is being organized for older students and adults on October 26th.
